- Chosen by Voters I allowed myself to do these things just to get through. I may have to keep my mind on other, comfortable things, while actually doing other things……so that I can cope. While you are there, talk to the counselor, or teacher and ask for tips that may help you get through it. Asking for advice while "in the moment" can help tremendously! That is why the teachers are there for-to help you and teach you new things comfortably. If you are absolutely NOT comfortable with something to the point of where it is going to bring you to the hospital, or into the mental ward, then just tell that to the teacher and ask if you can sit some things out. I am sure everyone will understand. There are just some people in this world that are just natural OBSERVERS! There is NOTHING wrong with being an observer you know? Don't allow anyone to force you into something that makes you s0oo uncomfortable that it is going to totally wreck your world and make you into a basket case. Just explain that you are a natural observer and that there is nothing wrong with just observing, and that they need to accept that. If after you get home, and realize that you REALLY are an observer of this world, and don't wanna go anymore-tell your parents that and they should not FORCE you to go anymore if you don't want to. But @least you should go one time and find out what activities you are going to be a "do(er)" and an "observer" in. Being afraid of heights is nothing to be ashamed of. There are lots and lots of people who are afraid of heights. Do not allow anyone to FORCE you into anything you do not want to do. I mean, sure they are only trying to help you get over your fears, but it is just not going to happen until you are ready, and only YOU can decide when you are ready. No one else can decide that for you. Just go, with an open mind, check stuff out, and then be comfortable in you decisions. 1 year ago 100% 1 Vote

- Chosen by Voters Have you tried asking for band boosters?Such as parents of the colour guard members, band members, drumline, etc. They can organize fund raisers for the equipment you need, and your trips to competitions. As for getting more members, you should try your best to inform others about the seriousness & fun involved in colour guard. Maybe make flyers? School announcement? Any way works, I guess. I'm not sure how to advise you to hire an instructor. You are able to ask other schools' instructors in your district as long as you are competing in different categories.Hope I helped.

It CAN be done. When I was little we went camping when my brother was just 2-4 months old… and he was a preemie! I don't know how hard it will be with a 7 month old… a imagine with him being mobile it might proove a tad difficult but just bring a pack and play, and hats and bug spray for him….you could put him in a zip up jacket with a hood too. HAVE FUN!!! And don't worry about the nay sayers. I wish we could take Jacob camping but Chris is not a big camper and would rather not. grrrrr 3 years ago 1 person rated this as good Thanks!

Campmor – which is more of a gear store than a 'magazine' has a good publication. They send out magazines every few months and they have a ton of products for every aspect of camping you would ever need. They don't talk about tips as much – but the backpacker website has good info there. Try a regional publication for trail specific information around you. I live in VA and have the Shenandoah information sent to my house regularly.
